In the Cloud Message Broker Is an Implementation Detail
Speaker: Szymon Pobiega
We all design distributed systems for the cloud. Do we really know why we design them the way we do? Let’s look at some real-world architects and examine the way they designed their systems. What trade-off were involved and how opposing forces were resolved.
Next let’s look at what was common in all these architectures that is distributed business processes. In other words a state mutation in one place causes a state mutation in another place.
Finally we’ll take a look at the infrastructure needed to support distributed business processes and examine all the moving parts. We’ll see how queue is just an implementation detail — one of many gears. The modern cloud architect needs to know much more than her or his on-premise predecessors.
