He is the author of Learning Chef and is passionate about reducing inequality in technology. When he is not writing, working on open source, teaching, or speaking at conferences, Seth enjoys spending time with his friends and advising non-profits.
Alex Mang is a passionate Azure MVP, trainer, consultant and regular conference and user groups speaker focusing mostly on cloud-computing topics, thus aiming to help developers better understand the implications of cloud-computing. Recently, Alex was invited as a speaker at Microsoft Ignite for the second time in a row, the Microsoft’s largest and most important technical conference gathering nearly 25,000 attendees. As an Azure Advisor, he regularly offers feedback on upcoming Azure features and services and gets to test them out in early development stages. Since 2011, Alex is the KeyTicket Solutions CEO, where, besides his entrepreneurial responsibilities, his daily activities cover: project management, scrum master, senior software development for web, desktop and mobile apps and software architecture. For his experience on cloud-driven solutions, his Microsoft Certified Solution Developer (MCSD), Microsoft Certified Solution Associate (MCSA) and Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE) stand as proof and so do the many happy customers he had the pleasure to work with for the past few years.
Steven Bryen is a Senior Technical Evangelist at Amazon Web Services, based in London. He is passionate about emerging technologies and often speaks with developer communities around the world. As an AWS Evangelist, Steven helps to increase awareness of AWS cloud services and to help customers understand the benefits that taking advantage of the cloud can deliver. Steven has many years of experience in designing and building highly scalable Application and Infrastructure Architectures. Prior to joining AWS, he has worked in technical and leadership roles across various industries including Financial Services, Telco and Technology.
Aleksandar Nikolic is a Microsoft Azure MVP, a Cloud and Datacenter Management MVP, a co-founder of PowerShellMagazine.com, and a community manager of PowerShell.com. Aleksandar is also a Microsoft Azure Advisor. He delivers Azure and PowerShell training courses around the world and is a frequent speaker at IT conferences such as Microsoft Ignite, Microsoft TechDays, Techorama, MMSMOA, NIC, ExpertsLive, Techmentor, Microsoft Sinergija, Microsoft NTK, Intelligent Cloud, and PowerShell Conference Europe. Marco De Sanctis is a freelance consultant in IT, with 15 years of experience in the .NET Platform. His interests range from a very strong tech background in C#, ASP.NET and the whole Microsoft stack, to Solution Architecture, especially for Cloud based applications. His current focus is on running container based applications in Azure. Thanks to his contributions to the .NET community as content manager for ASPItalia.com, he’s been awarded as Microsoft MVP for the last 8 years in a row.
I’m a Developer Advocate at Google, currently focused on helping developers with Google Cloud Platform. As a long-time Java and a recent C# developer, I like to compare the two ecosystems. Prior to Google, I worked at Microsoft, Skype, Adobe, EMC, and Nokia building apps and services on various web, mobile and cloud platforms. Originally from Cyprus, I currently live in Greenwich, not too far away from the prime meridian.

Todor is a senior software engineer and a public speaker who has more than 10 years of experience in front-end and back-end development. Full-stack Microsoft developer and a Microsoft Certified Professional (C# Specialist). Lately Todor is concentrated in the field of highly scalable cloud APIs, Docker and serverless technologies. He is passionate about clean code and open-source. In the past, he was focusing on front-end technologies like WPF and Silverlight, but with the discontinuing of the later, he turned to back-end. In this workshop, you will look at the process of developing a proof of concept (POC) that incorporates various Azure features to support a highly scalable microservices architecture based on Service Fabric and Azure Functions. By the end of this workshop you will be better able to design, deploy and monitor solutions based on Service Fabric and Azure Functions, in conjunction with several other Azure features.
